If you’re looking for something on Google and want to narrow down your search by when the item you’re looking for was published, try this.
Enter your search as normal:
When the search results appear, click on the Show options link at the top of the results:
On the left hand side of the window you’ll now see an extra column:
In the middle, you’ll see a selection of period options
Click on those to narrow down your results by period.
You can then sort those results by date or relevance:
Click on Sort by date and you’ll then see the results sorted in reverse chronological order, with the time or date below the link, as below (highlighted here):
Another way to view the results in chronological order is via the timeline, at the bottom of the list:
This will display a timeline above the list:
Click on any bar in the timeline
to zoom into a shorter period:
You can drill down further until you narrow your search down to the articles you’re looking for.
